Ah, the unconventional life.

"But Widge! You are destined for greatness! It should be so easy for you to succeed! You are so brilliant!"
But, no.
Instead, I will fail by most people's eyes,
I will take the job that doesn't show success,
I will live without the level of routine that a successful man lives,
I will waste away my time with art and creation,

and be so much happier than you.

Most people aren't alive, and hardly know what life is for that matter.

Just as I said, it's of no consequence. We'll be happy.

That last line is pretty cruel considering some of your friends planned careers. You can love life while working a job not normally seen as free and expressive.

Aw, I don't mean to imply that planning a career is somehow not fufilling.
I'm trying to get on the people who think that that is the only way to do things and then look down on me for not being like that.
If they are judging me by society standards then they are judging themselves by society standards.
So don't worry, Ande, you aren't included in that :)

you will succeed in whatever you choose to do. word of importance here is "choose". Don't ever give in to living up to everyone else's expectations. Your creative life with its out of the ordinary traits may be what keeps the rest of us going in that you live what so many dream of. You are BLESSED with so many talents. You have the WORLD ahead of you...never limit your dreams. "Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." -- and you will succeed.
lov you lots and I am so proud of you and your LIFE (the fact that you LIVE it, rather than exist in it)

And that, the very reason I write the sorts of things I write...

I dig your stuff. Keep at it.
When I was in college I was going over my grades with my dad. The course list went something like, "Puppetry", "scene study", "Major British Writers", "Modern Drama", "Jazz 2". I was in my fourth year and my father said:
"When are you going to start taking some REAL classes??"
I calmly replied:
"Dad, I'm an Actor. Those ARE my real classes."
dumbass.
I left the dumbass part out though as he was footing the bill.
Keep on....
